PETERA TROPHY 2026

Tournament for boys under 15

 

The PETERA Trophy is an international tournament for boys U15, i.e. born in 2012 and younger, which will take place in Prague from September 4 to 6, 2026. The five best Czech and five best foreign teams will participate, and the organizers guarantee a maximum amount for accommodation. The USK Prague players will defend their title at the PETERA Trophy tournament.

It is played in two groups of five with a play-off. The Folimanka hall will also host the medal matches, the second group will be hosted by the Sokol Prague hall. Each team will play at least 5 matches.

You can register for the tournament via the website peteratrophy.cz from February 17, 2026. The deadline for registration is June 27, 2026. 

Organizing organization Perinvest It also guarantees accommodation in the center of Prague up to a maximum of CZK 800 per person per night and paid lunches. Teams pay for their own dinners. The entry fee per team is CZK 2,500. 

The first three teams will receive medals, cups and diplomas. The Best Five of the Tournament and MVP will be announced, all will receive a plaque, diploma and valuable gifts. The best player of each team will be awarded in each match. All matches will be streamed on the web

Pavel Petera 6.5. 1942 - 23.12. 2013

After graduating from Charles University, he first worked as a central methodologist and coach at the basketball association of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Basketball Federation. Then he worked as a coach of the Czechoslovak national junior team (1971-1974) and three years later he became a coach of the national men's A team (1977-1987). He led the national team for 11 years, took part in 6 European Championships, 5 World Championships and 2 Olympic Games. With the national team he won silver at the European Championships in 1985 in Germany and twice third place (1977 in Belgium and 1981 in Prague). From 1987-1989 he was the coach of the Greek basketball league team Philippos Thessaloniki B.C. In 1987 he led the European selection in three exhibition games against Maccabi Tel Aviv, Greece and Bulgaria.
